Menu Planning Board

So it has been a while since posting last, but life has been crazy here, to say the least. I have worked on a few little cards and such (need to post pictures of the card sets I made for my Grandma), and i have been working here and there on Kim's wedding scrapbook...but nothing finished yet. You will all (as if I have blog followers, ha!) have to wait for the finished product to see the whole thing.

Anyway, onto today's project... The menu planning board. To make this I used a magnetic 5x7 acrylic frame. I had one left over from when I made a bunch of post it note holders as Christmas presents a few years ago. The patterned paper is from a DCWV stack - and it does make the background a little busy, but I didn't want it to be too boring. The font is Jasmine, and the green shape was made using my new Martha Stewart punch around the page punch set that I treated myself to with some birthday money. I glued the green shape with the title and the flower to the top of the outside of the frame...the patterned paper with the numbers is inside the frame

With an overhead projector marker, I can fill in the meals for the week. I cannot commit to putting specific meals on specific days, since I work 3 days a week and things come up that make us change our minds. So rather than a MTWTFSS format, I used numbers. Then the night before, I can decide which meal to use for the next day. Hopefully this cutesy planning board will keep us on track with menu planning and more importantly - sticking to it!

Thanks to my mom, the teacher, for sending me the overhead markers, which are pretty much obsolete in this day and age.
